About The Poster: Cigarette companies have always been able to afford to spend a great deal of money on advertising their products. Originally established in 1705, Cruwell often used 'natives' in their advertising posters: another one which we have had in the past featured Arab man in a traditional head-dress smoking a pipe.
Again, we aren't quite sure of the connection with tobacco, but, if the aim was to create advertising which was memorable, we think they achieved their goals.
Tin is in very good condition and ready to frame.
