About The Poster: This charming advertisement by the master of modern lithography, Jules Cheret, was produced in 1888 for the benefit of Emergency Night Shelters; announcing an exbéhibition of French Art from the period of Louis XIV and Louis XV at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. It is a great example of French poster art and can be displayed with pride in any room of your home or business. This advertising poster measures 12 x 17, is in very good condition (with a minor tear roughly two and half inches about the seal of the Maitres on the far right hand side of the page - see close up photo - on the margin of the page. It is barely apparent and mentioned only for the sake of honesty.) The print is sold framed.
