About the Museum: Les Arts décoratifs is a private, non-profit organization which manages museums of decorative arts located in Paris, France. The first museum dates to 1882, when collectors with an interest in the applied arts formed the initial organization.
About the Artist: Jiří Trnka was a Czech puppet-maker, illustrator, motion-picture animator and film director. In addition to his extensive career as an illustrator, especially of children's books, he is best known for his work in animation with puppets, which began in 1946.
This poster is in good condition, with creasing along the sides and a small tear on the bottom margin (please see photos). From a private collection, and ready to frame.
