About the Photographer: Edgar Knoop studied philosophy and art history at the Louis-Maximilien University in Munich and then enrolled at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He studied painting with Jean Deyrolle and history with Anton Marxmüller, obtaining his master's degree in 1965. In 1972, he became a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, teaching colour and light and remained so until 2000.
