About The Poster: This charming advertisement by the master of modern lithography, Jules Cheret, was produced in 1888 for the benefit of Emergency Night Shelters; announcing an exhibition of French Art from the period of Louis XIV and Louis XV at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. It is a great example of French poster art and can be displayed with pride in any room of your home or business. This advertising poster measures 12 x 17, is in very good condition (with a minor tear roughly two and a half inches about the seal of the Maitres on the far right-hand side of the page - see close up photo - on the margin of the page. It is barely apparent and mentioned only for the sake of honesty.) The print is sold framed, which has some small pock marks or dimples along its edge.
