This original theater poster was created to promote Robert Lepage's adaptation of George Bizet's famous opera 'Carmen'. It was presented at the Théâtre Quat'Sous - one of Montreal's oldest theatre companies - in the Spring season of 1987. The artist, Yvan Adam, is a painter as well as a designer and notably created the poster for Denys Arcand's 'Le déclin de l'empire américain'. His work has been exhibited at the Cinémathèque Québecoise and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
This poster is in excellent condition and ready to be framed. This poster is available at l'Affichiste thanks to Marc Choko, Professor Emeritus at the Université de Québec à Montréal (UQAM) School of Design. A long time collector of posters, Choko has curated exhibitions and published on the subject since the 1980.
