Artist: Dufy, Raoul
This poster was created to promote an exhibition of Raoul Dufy's (1877-1953) textile designs at the Modern Art Museum of the city of Paris in Spring 1977. Initially a painter, Dufy's works quickly became popular decorative motifs and were employed in both ceramic and fabrics. He is associated with fauvism and post-impressionism and his colour palette draws on Matisse in particular. Dufy's work can be found in the collection of Modern Art Museum of Paris, as well as the van Abbemuseum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
This poster is in good condition for its age and is ready to be framed.
