About The Poster: Advertising tins and cartons were very popular during the Art Deco period in Europe, and this excellent example from France shows us just why. It was printed by the J'announce company in Paris, this tin also indicates that it was used on the Chemins de Fer du Midi (see the far right side of the tin just below the "e" in savonneuse). This particular piece measures 13 x 8.75 inches, is in very good condition and bears the tax stamp of the French Republic of 1933, 72 centimes.
