About the poster :

This poster is part of Sébastien Lepine's "Ode to Montreal" series. This piece features Gilles Villeneuve's iconic number 27 red Ferrari race car. Villeneuve, born in Saint-Jean sur Richelieu is an emblematic figure for many canadiens. He won six Grand Prix's before his tragic death in 1982. The Notre Dame island circuit where the Montreal Grand Prix is held every year was baptized by Villeneuve's win in 1978, and now bears his name.

The graphic technique in this vibrant piece remind us of the incredible speeds of F1 racing and is an incredible tribute to both Villeneuve and the city of Montreal.
