About the Poster: Some posters make me smile - this is one of them. The children are cherubic, and the idea is simple: help children go to camp by buying a ration book of coupons. Essentially, the tagline of the poster reads "You who are going away, think about the others who are staying - buy the national booklet to help fund summer camps."
The photo-montage is clumsily endearing, the colour is over saturated, but this poster is a perfect example (at least to me) of late 1940s French advertising propaganda, and I love it.
This poster is unlined and in overall B+ condition - small rips on edges and wear as shown in photos. Most imperfections will disappear when this poster is lined or framed. This poster is from a private collection.
