This poster was designed for the 6th World Men's Handball Championship which was held in Sweden in 1967. We think this would look great in any bedroom or basement!
This was a particularly significant tournament for Czechoslovakia, who was declared victorious after defeating Denmark in the finale 14-11, therefore snatching their first world title. Romania, the previous title holder and two-time winner, managed to maintain its place on the podium in 3rd place after defeating the USSR in overtime. Back then, the tournament was held every 3 years, and is now held every other year in various countries around the world. The latest edition took place in Denmark and Germany in January 2019.
Handball is one of the most popular sports in Sweden and is played all around the country. Their national team is known to have won the most medals out of any countries at the World Men's Championships, with a tally of 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
This poster has some creases as well as minor tape stains in the front and in the back. There is minor paper damage in the top left corner. Please see pictures for details.
