Artist: Henri Le Monnier
I'm fond of Le Monnier's work. He always manages to coax a wink or a smile with posters that poke fun good-naturedly. Here his portrayal of a beautiful young woman with a bottle of her favorite aperitif "Diège" manages to put the product name and packaging front and center effectively and memorable. Gentiane Diège is an alcohol produced from the gentian flower grown on the mountains of Auvergne. Combined with the fantastic artwork of Le Monnier who produced some excellent posters in his time, makes for a match made in heaven! This is definitely among one of my preferred Le Monnier works.
Great for a kitchen, restaurant, or bar... The poster is in good condition.
