About The Poster: As with many other Games, the Olympic Village in Montreal was designed to be used as housing for the City after the Games were completed.

Designed by architects Roger D'Astous and Luc Durand, the Montreal Olympic Athletes Village was built massively over budget by a consortium of architects, including Joseph Zappia, who was later convicted of fraud in connection with his involvement with the building.

Construction overruns were so drastic that the Olympic Installations Board seized the complex after its original estimate of $30 million ballooned to $90 million.

This double-sided poster was presented before the buildings were complete and was designed to give the public an idea of what the Village would look like.

Rare. Collectable. Perfect gift for an architect or architectural student. The poster is in good condition, with ruffles on the margins.
