Mads Berg is a Danish illustrator specializing in poster design, brand and editorial illustrations, cover art, and murals. Based out of Copenhagen, Berg has an impressive list of international clients. His work is characterized by a style that translates classic poster art into a modern and timeless look. Gentofte Børnevenner is an association which tasks itself with helping institutions responsible for the caring of children in the Gentofte municipality. Founded by her Royal Highness Princess Margaretha and Gertie Wandel, Gentofte Children's Friends has helped in the creation of numerous daycares, charity fundraisers, nursery education programs, and even the country's first school for mentally handicapped children.
Born in 1975, Berg graduated from the Danish Design School in 2001 and has since been working independently as a professional illustrator and occasional lecturer at design schools across Denmark. He has been a jury member for the Best in Swedish (Kolla) and Norwegian (Visuelt) Contemporary Illustration on several occasions, in 2010 he was awarded the “Best Danish Children's Comic” prize, and in 2009 the Danish Design Prize. Berg’s poster art is represented at the Danish National Design Archives at the Design Museum Danmark.
