This advertisement was created to announce the seventh annual Salon de l'imagerie, an expo that would highlight the best in imagery - whether hand-drawn or printed - from that year. It took place in 1946 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, a museum of the decorative arts and design located in the Palais du Louvre's western wing known as the Pavillon de Marsan in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France.

The poster features the artwork of A. M. Rodicq a French poster artist especially active throughout the 40s, 50s, and 60s and created the print "Cosmogonie de la mode" (Fashion Cosmogony) (1946), tapestry designs for Tapisserie d'Aubusson (1950s), and even posters for the Cannes Film Festival (1946, 1951, 1961, 1962). His work evolved from a flat, cut-out style into a more hand-drawn and detailed aesthetic, but never lost its sense of movement and dynamism.

Unlined and in great condition, from a private collection.
