About The Poster: This poster advertises a exhibition of Pablo Picasso's works presented at the Galerie de la Colombe in Vallauris, France. It was held in hommage to the artist to celebrate his 90th birthday. You can still admire many of Picasso's works in Vallauris - the artist famously resided in the coastal town from 1948 til 1955, a period during which he produced some major works and a large amount of ceramics.
In terms of art, Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) is probably the most important figure of the 20th century. Before the age of 50, the Spanish-born artist had become the most recognized name in modern art, with the most distinct style and eye for artistic creation. Prior to Picasso, there had been no other artist who had had such an impact on the art world or had amassed such a following of both fans and critics as he did.
This poster has some creasing in the margins but is otherwise in good condition and unlined.
