Date: 1982 Size: 16.5 x 23.5 inches Artist: Razzia
Razzia is one of a handful of modern artists to choose posters as their form of expression. His work uses strong colors and imagery, often with Art Deco overtones, to easily and effectively convey the advertising and marketing message. He has designed numerous works of art for Louis Vuitton over the years, including sailing posters for the Louis Vuitton Cup and automobile posters for the Louis Vuitton Classic car rally.
The advertisement by Razzia is for an exhibition held in the summer of 1982 at the Musée de l'affiche et de la publicité, an advertising museum in France. Featured in the poster's design are Parisian landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile held in the hands of a very stylish Parisian woman.
