Artist: Yokoo, Tadanori
This colourful poster was created by Japanese printmaker, graphic designer, and illustrator Tadanori Yokoo. His work has a psychedelic quality and also features references to popular culture and mysticism. In 1980, he stopped producing commercial work to focus on painting.
The text in the center reads "Hyogo Aid ’95 by ART" which was a campaign and exhibition organized by the Japan Foundation of Toronto to support the victims of the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake. Twenty-three artists, designers, and photographers contributed images of their original works, which were then sold to raise funds.
This poster is in excellent condition and ready to be framed.
