The Alcyon company was a French manufacturer, for bicycles, automobiles, and motorcycles. The company began in 1903 until 1954.
"Alcyon was at the forefront of innovation, communication and above all the competition of the highest level: 13 Tours de France to his credit, 18 Paris-Roubaix, a breathtaking and unrivaled series of victories in the cycling world ... Alcyon grabbed all! The same goes for the bike, with countless records and victories including the first title of world champion in history, and cars, before the Great War, which marked their era.
Z.L. was a Swiss engine factory of Ernest ZÜRCHER. A pioneer too, now a must-have in Europe, she equipped all the big boys with the motorcycle of the time without exception: from Minerva to Peugeot, Terrot, NSU, Alcyon ... and even Brough, the Rolls of the Motorcycles!
Like Alcyon, Zedel embarked on the automobile and left us, wonderful models. This incredible captain of industry and this extraordinary mechanic linked their destiny in 1907. But in the end, and still today, 50 years later, on this ground Alcyon beats very clearly Peugeot!"
