About this lot: Issued by the Wartime Prices and Trade Board, these cards, all for the same address at 3844 Drolet Street in Montreal, permitted the owner of the home to rent out a room during World War II.
The Wartime Prices and Trade Board was a former Canadian government agency, established on September 3, 1939, by the Mackenzie King government, under the authority of the War Measures Act, in the Department of Labour responsible for price controls and inflation control.
I love vintage ephemera and I think that these will look fantastic when they are framed. Perfect for a guest room, or any home that needs vintage charm.
