Artist: Pierre Couronne
This poster was designed by Pierre Couronne (1928-2013), a Parisian artist known for his mid-century ads and children's book illustrations. He studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumière in 1946 before specializing in advertising, creating ads for such products as Bic pens, Omo laundry detergents, Scandale lingerie, Baignol & Farjon, Rouge Baiser cosmetics and many more (including some French national lottery posters which he produced under the name of 'Pierrot'!). His artwork also made it into children's books such as Les Lapinos, Petit Chien, and Coralie, all staples in children's libraries across France.
The poster entices people to take a "pause-café" or a "coffee break" every day - it's the happiest minute of your day!
Unlined and ready to be framed, it's the perfect gift for any coffee lover!
