This offset Lithograph comes from drawings published in a colouring book done by Andy Warhol in 1961, in the midst of his transition from a commercial illustrator to a fine art artist. The drawings were originally commissioned by Flemming-Joffe Ltd., a leather-goods company for which Warhol drew advertising illustrations. It was meant to be given to their employees, for their children, as a christmas gift.
The colouring book was published in 1990 by Simon and Schuster New York and Callaway Editions Inc., and printed in the United States through the offset lithograph process. It is an adaptation of the colouring book first published in 1961 under the title "The Wonderful World of Flemming-Joffe".
The illustration is matted with a baby blue lining surrounding its borders. It is slightly ruffled, please see pictures. Ready to frame
