This original WWII poster was designed by F. J. Lefevre and printed by F. Weidl. Posters such as these were common during both WWI and WWII and this one features a call for contributions to the Hartford War Chest. The poster was intended to inspire those at home in America to contribute to the war effort - with donations being directed in this case to children's charities and soldier's wives. It features a woman dressed in a factory uniform, much like that worn in the famous "Rosie the Riveter".
