About The Poster: This poster was produced as part of the Test Events for the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. These preparatory events, generally held one year before the official opening of the Games, allowed the Olympic Committee to assess the effectiveness of the sports facilities, transportation management, and all other arrangements required to host an international competition of such magnitude.
The Test Events also played an important role in the development of a distinct visual identity for each Olympic discipline.
