About the Posters: These two chromolithographic plates were designed for Lefèvre-Utile, a French biscuit company. They are both adorned with gold gilding, which gives each piece added dimension and colour.
They are from a book titled "Album des célébrités contemporaines" ('Album of contemporary celebrities') published by Lefèvre-Utile in Nantes, France, which features well-known celebs praising LU biscuits. Of this set of two, one features Marie Delna, a French contralto who is quoted as saying that her visit to the LU-LU factories will always have her sing the praise of the biscuits' superior quality. Each plate has a black-and-white image of the celebrity, and a colourful depiction of them in their most famous role.
Already framed, these chromolithographs would add a sense of charm, elegance, and colour to any home!
