About The Poster:
Laffly was a French manufacturer of trucks and utility vehicles which was founded in 1849 and remained in business until the early 1950s. The company was best known for its firetrucks, but also produced a range of military vehicles in the decade that preceded the Second World War. In this poster, Laffly is advertising the speed and effectiveness of their trucks - le "Rapide des camions" (the fast trucks) is definitely an appropriate mention for something that drives faster than trains! (Source: Wikipedia) The poster is linen backed and in excellent condition - it is a from a second printing of the classic deco poster created by Roggero in the 1930s.
