Artist: Otto Ottler
Otto Ottler (1891 - 1965) was a German graphic designer and painter. He was a member of Die Sechs ("The Six"), a Munich-based group of artists who joined forces in an attempt to compete with Ludwig Hohlwein, a prominent designer of the time.
This poster was produced by Ottler for Das Plakat ("The Poster"), an early magazine of poster art which ran from 1910 to 1922, in a brief but subversive period of German history known as the Weimar Republic.
The poster is in good condition, with some creasing on the corners. See photos for more details.
