About the Poster: The Service du travail obligatoire (STO) was the forced enlistment and deportation of hundreds of thousands of French workers to Nazi Germany to work as forced labour for the German war effort during World War II. These French propaganda pieces were used by the Vichy regime and Nazi occupational authorities to compel young French workers to Germany to support the war effort. Valued for their historical significance, original 22.5" x 29" editions of these posters are rare and highly sought after by militaria collectors. (Source: Wikipedia)
