About The Poster: This is a small soccer poster for a match between the Valencia Football club and Barcelona in 1932.
The Mestalla Stadium, home to the club Valencia, opened on may 20 of 1923 with a friendly match between Valencia and Levante. Being almost a century old, the stadium has quite a history: during the civil war it was used partly as a storage warehouse. After that the renovation of the 1950's increased the capacity from 17,000 at the opening to 45,500 thousand.
Later in the 20th century, the stadium became the national team stadium for the world cup of 1982 and the Olympics of 1992. More recently, the stadium welcomed the famous rivalry of Real Madrid and FC Barcelone in the Copa del Rey finals of 2011 and 2014. Lithograph is unlined and in excellent condition. Ready to frame.
