This modern poster was created for a 1985 exhibition held at the Museum of Design in Zurich, Switzerland. The exhibition centered around Otto Rudolf Salvisberg, a Swiss architect known for co-designing the White City housing settlement in Berlin in 1940, as well as villas, university buildings and factories.

Salvisberg (1882-1940) was born in Switzerland and eventually settled in Berlin where he practised for most of his career. His inspiration ranged from Art Nouveau to Expressionism to Functionalism, designed many buildings that were often described as "severely rational".

This poster was designed by Siegfried Odermatt (1926-2017), a Swiss designer with a prolific history of poster making. Odermatt was self-taught and became a pioneer of Swiss New Wave graphic design, receiving many awards over the course of his career. His style, characterized by unique typography positioning and flat areas of colour, paired perfectly with the topic of modern architecture.

This poster is in excellent condition and ready to be framed.
